OEM Defence Services: Champion of Growth 2018, in the aerospace sector!
Paris, 13 February 2018 – OEM Defence Services (OEM DS) achieved a huge development between2013 and 2016, according to “the Champions of Growth 2018” rankings published by Les Échos. The ranking lists the top 500 companies in order of revenue growth, with OEM DS at the top of the table in the aerospace sector.
Formed in 2008, OEM DS specialises in through-life support (TLS) for equipment on military aircraft such as the NH90 and Tiger helicopters and the A400M military transport aircraft. Working directly with national armed forces and with major defence contractors, OEM DS supports over 100 different types of equipment, from avionics components and hydraulic parts to complete mechanical systems, manufactured by its five shareholder companies and other partners. The company now intends to work with additional industry partners to extend the range of equipment supported and meet customer demand.
Since 2013, OEM DS has conducted more than 4,000 checks, repairs, modifications and overhauls on equipment for the NH90 helicopter. In the last 24 months, 95% of deliveries were completed on or ahead of customer deadlines, and more than 300 replacement equipment items have been successfully delivered. As a result, OEM DS has contributed to a significant increase in the operational readiness of these aircraft fleets, while reducing costs for customers.
“We are proud of our ranking in “The Champions of Growth 2018”” said Gilbert Canovas, Chairman of OEM Defence Services. “This recognition shows that optimised cooperation between multiple industry players boosts efficiency and makes perfect business sense. The through-life support landscape for defence aerospace in France is changing, and is liable to change soon in other countries as well, with industry assuming greater responsibility for ensuring equipment availability. OEM Defence Services is ready to step up to this new challenge.”
As part of its continued development, OEM DS is working on new international opportunities to ensure that armed forces around the world benefit from highly efficient through-life support for their equipment, in line with their operational requirements and budget constraints.
